Archipelagoproject at Informatik-Hauptschule
The Archipelago Project objectives:
1) Educate and inspire students and audiences from diverse ethnic, geographical, and socioeconomic populations about the importance of music in their lives.
2) Provide students and audiences with a flavor of the cultures from which the different styles of music derive and how music itself influences cultural identity.
3) Provide children with insight into the wonders of the orchestral instruments, including how to produce a sound and how to make simple replicas of them.
4) Provide students the ability to find their own musical voice by encouraging them and assisting them to improvise, compose and arrange their own music.
5) Provide students with more basic music building blocks such as music theory, ear training, music history, and to demonstrate to them how having a basic understanding of these crucial building blocks can improve their understanding of music, improve their playing, and increase their enjoyment in listening to music.
6) To teach students how to fuse all styles of music from a wide variety of cultures into new compositions and into new unique concerts.
The Archipelago Project will accomplish these objectives through our highly successful music education programs, and concert series
